Affordable Housing

Affordable housing is available in Durham Region. You can also apply for housing assistance to make your rent more affordable. Rent-geared-to-income (RGI) is a type of housing assistance that lets you pay 30 per cent of your income toward rent, if you are eligible for RGI.

You may be put on a waiting list for subsidized housing after you apply. While you wait, you may need to find your own rental housing.
