Children 3 to 5 Year Olds
In Durham region, children begin school at age 4. Many schools in the public and Catholic school system now offer full-day kindergarten with Early Childhood Educators in classrooms with teachers. Libraries also offer programs and collections to help your child grow and explore. Ontario Early Years Centres provide programs and services to help children aged 0-6.

Play and Recreation
Many municipalities, YMCA’s, Boys and Girls Clubs all offer programs to keep your child active. Libraries, museums, art galleries offer programs to spark imaginations and encourage play.
