Caroline Anderson is Branch Manager of the Uxbridge Branch of Scotia Bank.

 Allan Angus, member of the LDIPC

Allan Angus is a member of the Durham College Accessibility Working Group and is an alternate member of the LDIPC.

 Martyn Beckett, member of the LDIPC

Martyn Beckett is the Director of Education for the Durham District School Board. Martyn is active at both the local and provincial levels in public education, sitting on numerous community committees and as an executive member of the Council of Ontario Directors of Education (CODE) and Vice Chair of CODE for public school boards. Martyn is a passionate supporter of public education, a teacher, and a father, who remembers his own roots as a student in Oshawa, now able to serve students in his role as an administrator.

Mary Blanchard

Mary Blanchard is the Dean, School of Interdisciplinary Studies & Employment Services at Durham College.

Donna Bright
Donna Bright is the Chief Librarian & Executive Officer of the Ajax Public Library.
Mayor Terry Clayton Terry Clayton is the Mayor of the Township of Brock. He serves as the Municipalities representative on the LDIPC. Mayor Clayton previously served two terms as the Ward II representative, one term as the Regional Councillor, and one term as Mayor for Brock Township. He has served on a number of committees locally and at the Region. Most recently, he was Chairman of the Police Services Board for Durham Region.
Lorne Coe

Lorne Coe is one of three Regional Councillors for the Town of Whitby. Lorne was elected to represent the East Ward of Whitby in 2003 and was re-elected in 2006.  In 2010, Lorne was elected to Durham Regional Council.  As a Regional Councillor, he also sits on the local Whitby Council.  

 

Councillor Coe is the Chair of the Health and Social Services Committee and as such is co-chair of the Local Diversity and Immigration Partnership Council (LDIPC).  Councillor Coe is also President of the Durham Region Non Profit Housing Corporation. Prior to being elected to Whitby Town Council, Councillor Coe worked in senior positions in the private sector and as a civil servant within the Ontario government.

Kasia Chojecki is the Manager of Strategic Initiatives within the Economic Development department of the Region of Durham.

Lindsay Coolidge Lindsay Coolidge works in the Office of External Relations at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), where she is responsible for government and community relations.  Prior to this she was the Manager of Institutional Grants and Contracts at UOIT within the university’s research office.  Before joining UOIT, Lindsay held a number of positions within the Ontario Ministries of Economic Development and Trade and Research and Innovation.


 Pam deWilde, member of the LDIPC

Pam DeWilde is the Coordinator of the Inter-Church Immigrant Support Group. Pam is a world traveller who seeks out opportunities to extend the same warm, welcoming hospitality to newcomers arriving in the Durham Region that she and her family experienced while travelling abroad.

 Dr. Hugh Drouin, Co-Chair of the LDIPC

Dr. Hugh Drouin is the Commissioner of Social Services at the Region of Durham and is the co-chair of the LDIPC.

Ben Earle Ben Earle is the Executive Director of Comunity Development Council Durham (CDCD). CDCD is the major settlement agency in Durham region.

 Keith Hernandez, member of the LDIPC

Keith Hernandez, an experienced bilingual HR professional and leader of KAH Consultants, provides support to companies for intercultural competency, inclusiveness at the leadership level, newcomer integration strategies, together with performing HR audits and reviewing HR infrastructures.

 Ali Juma, member of the LDIPC

Ali Juma is the Training Supervisor for the Durham Children’s Aid Society.  He is responsible for the delivery and coordination of learning events for front line workers, supervisors, volunteers, foster and kinship parents. An active member of the Society’s Diversity Committee, he is currently involved in a community engagement initiative for the purpose of enhancing the delivery of services to diverse families. 

 

The proud father of four boys under the age of six, Ali hails from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and is currently completing his post graduate certificate in Adult education and also a Master’s of Business Administration degree.

John Koopmans

John Koopmans has been a Principal Planner for the Planning Department of the Regional Municipality of Durham for over 25 years. He has been involved with this initiative since 2008, when the Local Diversity and Immigration Partnership Council Advisory Group was formed.

Heather McMillan 

Heather McMillan is the Executive Director of the Durham Workforce Authority (previously called the Durham Region Local Training Board), one of the three convening members of the Local Diversity & Immigration Partnership Council.

Dianne Miller Dianne Miller is the CHRP Manager at Lakeridge Health.





Bruce Townley

Bruce Townley is an Inspector with Investigative Services with the Durham Regional Police Service.

Tracey Tyner Cavanaugh

Tracey Tyner Cavanaugh is the Accessibility Coordinator for the Region of Durham. The Regional Accessibility Coordinator's role is to raise awareness of accessibility, legislation and disability related matters throughout Regional services.  In addition, leadership is demonstrated by bringing local municipalities together to share best practices and resources in the area of accessibility.
