Description: - World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, the Durham Elder Abuse Network, Full Life Integrated Health Care Centre and T & E Health Pros Inc. will take to the streets to tell our community to be ‘Silent No More’ about this serious problem affecting our valued seniors. We are asking you to do the same.
Join our region-wide rally and take to the streets to unify our voices and Call for an End to Elder Abuse.
Get together a group/organization/team/schools/class of people who are committed to speaking out against elder abuse. Consider partnerships – a school and a retirement home to host a joint event. Make signs, banners, posters, t-shirts with key messages – stand out! On June 15 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm take the message onto the streets. Set up along the streets and proudly show your signs to passing vehicles and pedestrians.
